Paycom and its Employees Give $70,000 to The Salvation Army

OKLAHOMA CITY – Today, Paycom Software, Inc. (“Paycom”) (NYSE: PAYC), a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software, presented The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma with a check for $70,000, which is the largest amount the Oklahoma City-based nonprofit has ever received for its annual Red Kettle campaign.

This year’s grand total surpassed last year’s Red Kettle campaign gift by $5,000.To raise the funds, Paycom employees participated in daily raffles, in which every dollar raised was matched with a corporate gift of $1.50.

“Oh my goodness! Is that not incredible?” said Major Carlyle Gargis, The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma area commander, upon learning the donation amount. “This incredible gift will allow us to continue to serve those in dire need. Paycom has really stepped it up this year in both service and donations and when I look at this giant check, I see names and faces instead of dollar signs. Thank you for your generosity.”

Paycom’s annual year-end employee contributions help this local chapter of The Salvation Army help Oklahomans in need, both during the holiday season and beyond.

In addition to the Red Kettle campaign donation, this year, 250 Paycom employees provided and served 3,817 meals.

“This year was especially meaningful because I challenged our employees to make a difference through The Salvation Army, and as of Saturday, 250 employees have now served almost 4,000 hot meals, while learning through practice how service relates to leadership,” said Paycom’s chief operating officer, Stacey Pezold.

Paycom has a proud history of supporting The Salvation Army Central Oklahoma and 2016 was no exception. Over the past year, Paycom hosted its fourth annual HoliDazzle community coat drive for KFOR’s annual Brad Edwards Warmth 4 Winter campaign that benefited The Salvation Army; Paycom employees donated 36,000 canned goods to The Salvation Army food pantry during September’s National Payroll Week; and in July, Paycom donated $10,000 for The Salvation Army’s Buck$ 4 Bikes campaign.
