We interviewed one of our executive ultra-care transition specialists, Cierra, to learn more about her Paycom journey.
Describe what you do.
As an executive ultra-care transition specialist, I serve as the project manager for our larger and more intricate clients to facilitate a smooth transition from their current human capital management system to Paycom. Working closely with executives, HR and finance teams, I believe in a consultative approach to not only train client contacts on Paycom’s robust software, but also assist clients in maximizing fullest organizational efficiency.
What is your favorite thing about your team?
Our collaboration and strategy sessions. Although we are all working with our own clients, we are constantly bouncing ideas and best practices off of each other. If I am uncertain of a solution, I have a team of five other experts I can lean on.
What advice would you give a new employee for being successful at Paycom?
Take the time to connect with your clients. A successful implementation starts with building a strong partnership with the client. With that foundation in place, I am able to assist my clients in maximizing the fullest organizational efficiency possible along with hitting DDX metrics/KPI indicators.
What’s the one word you would choose to describe Paycom, and why?
Pioneer. Our company is constantly bringing new enhancements and developments to our system. We were the first to roll out an employee usage tracking platform for clients (Direct Data Exchange®); now we’re rolling out Beti™. Each year, we continue to surprise the market and clients with our innovations. I’m excited to see what comes next.
What is your greatest accomplishment at Paycom?
Implementing the first public university client for Paycom.
What makes you proud to work at Paycom?
The impact we have on clients. We are literally changing organizations by helping them become more efficient and eliminating waste in their process. When you can help a client eliminate waste and become more streamlined, you are giving back to every employee at that company.
What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of work?
Camping, boating and skiing. Pretty much anything outdoors.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
This is a hard one, but I’d have to go with tacos. These can be pretty versatile, so hopefully I wouldn’t get sick of them as quick.
