Employee Spotlight: Meet Hailey

Our employee spotlight of the month is a manager of our newly opened Nashville sales office. Hailey joined Paycom in December 2008, and has accomplished great feats ever since.

When asked what makes being a sales rep at Paycom different from other companies, Hailey said, “You not only sell our product, but you become the spearhead of a company’s transition working closely with the executive decision makers. There has to be a deep understanding of the ‘why’ behind what we do to be able to help transform a company’s HR and payroll outlook. The best part about that is having a major impact on the back-end operations of an organization leading to a positive impact on the front end. You aren’t just touching one piece of a business. You must have a complete understanding of how they operate as a whole.”

What is your greatest accomplishment at Paycom?

I have been able to accomplish more than I could have ever dreamed these past six years at Paycom. Thus far, I would have to say my greatest accomplishment is being able to promote so many of my team members to management. It is so rewarding to hear the goals of a potential rep in the first interview, then bring them onto my team and watch all those dreams come to fruition. I have watched recent college graduates quickly make six figures, allowing them to help their families, give back and live an executive lifestyle decades before their peers are able to do so.

What advice would you give a new sales rep for being successful at Paycom?

The best advice I could give anyone here is to keep a positive mindset. There are so many great things that happen here and so many great things that Paycom provides for its employees. Ultimately, you can’t control every outcome in this position, but you can control your mind and how you are perceived by others. I have found over the years that positivity breeds positivity, which, in return, brings in a lot of business.

How does your position impact Paycom’s future?

My current position allows me to develop strong executive reps. In turn, these executive reps have been able to gain the right experience to manage existing offices, allowing Paycom to grow our national footprint by opening new markets across the U.S.

Where has been your favorite place to travel?

Southern California has to be one of my favorite places to travel. The weather is absolutely amazing all year-round. You can sit in Malibu drinking wine at a vineyard, and see the mountains on one side, then the ocean on another.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I have a deep love for anything spicy! It’s hard to choose just one thing, but if I had to, it would definitely be chips and salsa. I literally eat chips and salsa on a weekly basis.

What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of work?

Whether it is flywheel, CrossFit, or barre class, nothing is more rewarding than going to a group fitness class after a hard day at work. Being a college athlete, I still enjoy being active in the gym. I would be lying if I didn’t say that shopping is a love of mine, as well as spending time with my nephews. I’m so thankful to have the opportunity to open the Nashville office and be close to the two of them.
