OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 26, 2025) — Paycom Software, Inc. (NYSE: PAYC) (“Paycom”), a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software, announced it has achieved the ISO 42001 certification, underscoring the company’s commitment to responsible AI practices and its dedication to delivering secure and reliable AI services to its clients.
ISO 42001 is the first globally recognized standard focused on artificial intelligence and is awarded to organizations that adhere to the most stringent international standards for responsible AI. The certification covers the Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS), which is designed to help organizations use, develop and provide AI services responsibly. AIMS ensures that Paycom’s AI services align with the company’s values and principles, while also meeting the highest standards of security, governance and risk management.
As one of the few payroll processors with multiple ISO certifications, Paycom’s information security, privacy management, business continuity, and quality management systems and processes are audited and certified for compliance annually. In addition to these certifications, Paycom uses private AI to strengthen data protection and maintain client confidentiality.
“Paycom advances its commitment to innovation by combining full-solution automation with ethical AI practices and private AI models that protect client data. This approach delivers powerful insights guided by human accountability, reinforcing our promise of trust and security,” said Shane Hadlock, chief client and technology officer at Paycom.
The certification process involved a comprehensive internal assessment by Paycom’s IT Governance, Risk and Compliance team, followed by a two-stage external evaluation by leading audit and certification firm, Schellman. The external assessment reviewed the design, documentation and operational effectiveness of Paycom’s AI Management System in managing AI risks, governance and controls.
“In human capital management, AI touches some of an organization’s most sensitive workforce data; the very human aspect of information and data,” said Danny Manimbo, AI and ISO practice leader at Schellman. “By achieving ISO 42001 certification, Paycom has demonstrated that responsible governance is built into the intelligence behind its HCM platform. This milestone gives their clients confidence that the AI supporting their HR and workforce operations is designed with transparency, accountability and strong safeguards. We’re proud to have partnered with Paycom on this important achievement.”
