A culture of belonging

Our culture

From attracting talent from different backgrounds to developing our people, a sense of belonging is at the center of Paycom’s culture. We support employees of all experiences reaching their highest potential. Our commitment to creating an inclusive workplace allows people to bring their whole self to work, fostering more innovation and limitless potential.

Our purpose

Creating a thriving culture is challenging. It requires a team dedicated to growth, who have a thoughtful road map and a clear purpose. We’re driven to enhance the daily lives of our employees through:

  • attracting talent from different backgrounds
  • building a culture that embraces and values their uniqueness
  • providing the tools and resources they need to succeed

Our community

Our employee resource groups (ERGs) allow people from a variety of backgrounds to celebrate their differences and unite through shared values. In making these connections, they find support and give back to our communities while nurturing a diverse and inclusive workplace. Each ERG is open to all team members who identify directly or as an ally.

Important conversations

Through our Better Conversations series, employees share personal experiences, stories and topics often avoided at work. These sessions create a structured space that encourages dialogue, not debate. Employees can build cultural competency while using the talking/listening boundaries method to interact across differences on current events and polarizing topics.

Military and veterans

Paycom’s culture works to build a sense of belonging and community for military, active reservists and veteran employees as well as spouses and family members. Whether they’re transitioning to their first civilian role or continuing their post-military career, we offer service members opportunities and support to pursue their career goals. Self-identification and disclosure data

As our workforce continues to grow, we’re working to enhance how employees opt in to share their identity via the Paycom app. Our app allows employees to prioritize self-reporting initiatives, ensuring accurate data while reinforcing trust and transparency in identity-sharing, especially in categories such as veteran/military status, disabilities, LGBTQ+ identifying and allyship.
