Employee Spotlight: Meet Joseph

Bonny Calfy | February 1, 2017

Joseph is an executive sales rep and has been a member of the Paycom family since January 2016. Last week, I reached out and asked him to share his story.

Describe what you do.

I get the opportunity to work with business leaders throughout New Jersey. I help them uncover operational inefficiencies within their organization, give them the tools they need to solve these issues and, as a result, increase their enterprise value.

What advice would you give a new employee for being successful at Paycom?

Be persistent! Your first year will be challenging, but can be extremely rewarding as well. Remember to keep a positive mindset and continue to grow both personally and professionally each day.

Which word you would choose to describe Paycom, and why?

Organic. Paycom prides itself on the organic growth and development of both its product and people.

Joseph and teamWhat is your greatest accomplishment at Paycom?

Reaching executive rep within my first year. I set this goal in the first meeting I had with my manager. Day in and day out, my team motivates me to be my very best. I am extremely excited to continue to grow and accomplish all the goals I have set for myself!

What makes you proud to work at Paycom?

There’s a lot to be proud of working for Paycom. But, having the opportunity to positively impact not only the businesses I work with, but their employees as well, makes me the most proud.

Where has been your favorite place to travel, and why?

California. Two years ago, I visited a friend from college who was working on Catalina Island. It was an amazing experience! The friendships that I made during that trip were remarkable. I am looking forward to traveling more this year, and already have planned a trip to San Francisco.

What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of work?

I really enjoy playing hockey. Recently, I moved to Jersey City and joined a league, and I couldn’t be more excited to begin playing competitively again.

If you could wake up tomorrow having gained one quality or ability, what would it be and why?

The ability to teleport! Being able to travel to anywhere at any time would be truly incredible.
