Paycom’s Retention Dashboard uses a proprietary algorithm based on more than 30 data points to automatically generate a retention score for every employee, giving HR managers and executives real‑time, data‑driven insights into companywide retention trends and potential turnover hot spots. Thanks to Paycom’s single-database architecture, retention scores update automatically as employee data changes, so leaders always have the most current view of risk across their organization.

The Retention Dashboard analyzes over 30 employee data points already captured in Paycom to surface retention trends and patterns, and identify which employees may be at higher risk of leaving. While the full model is proprietary, examples of employee data points shown in the dashboard include:

  • tenure — how long an employee has been with the company
  • commute time — calculated automatically using home and work locations
  • recent pay changes — such as the timing of an employee’s last raise
  • benchmarking data — comparative metrics to measure against industry standards

No. Because all Paycom functionality operates within a single database — built by Paycom, at Paycom — the Retention Dashboard requires no client setup, no separate systems and no additional configuration. It simply uses the employee data already in your Paycom software, allowing insights to generate automatically, with no data reentry.
