Employee Spotlight: Meet Caitlin

Caitlin is a team leader of talent acquisition for the core operations team at Paycom’s Texas Operations Center.

After earning an MBA in business studies from the University of North Texas, Caitlin took a position at a marketing and sales firm in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Before long, Paycom reached out and hired Caitlyn to become a recruiter!

Caitlin describes the HR system she used in her previous role as “a pain,” so the opportunity to use Paycom’s superior products is what initially piqued her interest. With additional research, she determined she couldn’t pass up a chance she described as “working for a growing organization that had nowhere to go but up!”

We had the opportunity to learn more about Caitlin’s career journey and ask about what makes working at Paycom so special. Here’s what she had to say.

What’s it like working at Paycom?

Working for Paycom is awesome. My team gets the opportunity to change lives every day and bring in top talent to support Paycom clients.

What are some of the in-office perks you enjoy at Paycom?

I enjoy the $4 catered lunches, being on-site with my team and celebrating together as a company at some of our annual events like Customer Service Week and National Payroll Week.

What has it been like coming back to work at Paycom’s offices after working remotely?

It’s been a smooth transition! I get the opportunity to work out of our new Texas Operations Center. Paycom is growing, and with growth comes change. It’s exciting to see the change firsthand and watch us continue to move forward and be better than we were yesterday.

What are the benefits to being around your team members every day?

The level of connection you get to have with your team in person is unmatched. It’s awesome to hear the team celebrate each other’s wins on a daily basis.

What’s something about Paycom’s office that might surprise people?

We have a nice, fully equipped, on-site gym along with locker rooms that really aim to provide you everything you need post-workout.

What are the benefits to working in an office that others might not consider?

The high level of team collaboration and minimal distractions.

What’s one of your favorite memories from your time on Paycom’s campus?

National Payroll Week! Our team got to experience food trucks and some friendly competition in various games that resulted in Talent Acquisition being the National Payroll Week champs last year!

Can you talk about your friendships with your team members? Do you feel connected with them?

Absolutely. There really is no replacement for our on-site connections. It’s natural and easy to catch up on weekend activities together and really get to know your team on a personal level.

How has it been watching team members around you succeed in their roles?

It’s been amazing! I’ve had the pleasure of bringing on new team members who immediately start breaking records, as well as watch current team members grow and progress in their roles. Our team is a mix of people in OKC and Grapevine and, still, they are huge collaborators. I’m easily their biggest fan!
