Paycom 2023: Another Standout Year

Emma White | January 9, 2024

At Paycom, we continue to set the standard for growth and innovation. And 2023 was another great year of investing in team members, our culture and our technology.

With a milestone anniversary, new tools, new culture initiatives, a continued commitment to giving and a major global expansion, Paycom, one of the nation’s fastest-growing HR tech companies, demonstrated continued growth in 2023.

Let’s look back at some of the most notable moments from the past year.

Celebrating 25 years of excellence

Paycom celebrated its 25th year of simplifying life for employees and HR in 2023. From Day 1, growth, development and innovation have been at the core of the organization’s success.

This year, Paycom continued to redefine what HR tech can be with the launch of three new releases:

  • GONE®, a game-changing enhancement automating decision-making for time-off requests.
  • Client Action Center, an intuitive dashboard helping clients take action and get updates on banking and tax-related items.
  • Everyday™, a payroll service allowing users to be paid daily without costly fees and ensuring employers are compliant.

Not only did Paycom introduce new ways for businesses to succeed, it expanded its HCM software globally and launched its best-in-class payroll experience, Beti®, in Canada and Mexico.

Beti’s already garnering attention around the world, taking home a Gold Globee in the 13th Annual 2023 Globee® Business Awards. This is a recognition that wouldn’t have been possible without the core of innovation: our employees.

Fostering a culture of support

Paycom wins when our team members succeed.

That’s why Paycom continued to invest in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Not only is the organization supporting equity-focused causes in the community like the National Juneteenth Museum, but Paycom is advancing internal DEI strategies with the introduction of employee resource groups (ERGs). Paycom’s 11 ERGs connect employees with similar cultures, backgrounds or interests while helping foster community both inside and outside the organization.

Fun, engaging events remained part of the fabric of Paycom’s culture. From our second annual philanthropy fair and Holidazzle to iconic National Payroll Week, Paycom continues to promote events and opportunities for our workforce to take advantage of the positive elements employee engagement can bring.

As in years past, 2023 continued the tradition of great benefits for our workforce, including Paycom’s $1 per-pay-period health insurance for employees, on-site well-being advisors, paid family leave and pet insurance, just to name a few. These benefits underscore a culture of support and helped Paycom make the list of Top Workplaces USA in Oklahoma City and Grapevine and be named an America’s Greatest Workplace for Parents & Families by Newsweek in 2023. We were also one of 57 organizations globally to win the 2023 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award.

Innovative partnerships

Paycom continued to be a partner to organizations and events in the communities it calls home.

Paycom sponsored the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, both the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade and Pride Parade in Oklahoma City, the 2023 Festival de Vida y Muerte and more.

Our connection to sports continued in a big way in 2023 with the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award honoring the best defensive back in college football and Paycom Center remaining the dynamic home of the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder. And like Paycom, brand ambassador and professional golfer Viktor Hovland also had a 2023 full of wins.

Partnerships also increased brand awareness and interest. Paycom partnered with TikTok star Corporate Natalie and Shark Tank co-host Barbara Corcoran, and once again, Shemar Moore, co-star of CBS’s Criminal Minds, continued to represent Paycom as the Unnecessary Action Hero. Paycom also had the opportunity to host noteworthy guests like Academy Award-winner Gwyneth Paltrow, ABC’s Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts and astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson on the HR Break Room® podcast.

Supporting our communities

Since the beginning, Paycom has supported the communities where its employees live and work.

In fact, Paycom and its employees made a number of donations to local and national organizations through the employee giving program and special initiatives throughout the year.

Some highlights include:

This past year was one for the books! Team members went above and beyond to serve the community, invest in product growth and positively impact employees across the globe.
