Paycom Named One of America’s Greatest Workplaces by Newsweek for 2023

Abraham Mendieta | July 17, 2023

Merriam-Webster defines “workplace” as “a place where people work.” Sounds simple enough, right? But Paycom is more than just a place where our team members work. Here, employees grow, develop and feel supported.

That’s why Newsweek recognized Paycom as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces 2023. The honor reflects our commitment to creating an environment people want to experience and thrive in.

A large-scale, independent survey of people who work for U.S. companies with 1,000 or more employees informs Newsweek’s list. Paycom team members then weighed in on a variety of categories.

Here’s how we built one of the greatest workplaces in the country.

We’re committed to one purpose

At Paycom, a single purpose drives us: simplifying life for employees. This purpose lives in every part of our organization and connects and motivates our teams.

“Our employees are supported by a values-driven, purpose-first culture that empowers employees in and out of the workplace,” said Jennifer Kraszewski, Paycom’s vice president of human resources. “Because of that, we are able to support our employees in a way that puts us among the best of the best, one of America’s Greatest Workplaces.”

These five core values influence everything we do:

  • We innovate.
  • We win.
  • We care.
  • We serve.
  • We believe.

We build our culture with these five tenets. And by extension, they guide us as we nurture, include and empower every Paycom employee. None of us win without the entire team’s support. Our core values remind us of how our success — no matter how big or small — depends on all our contributions.

We prioritize all people

Our people fuel Paycom’s success. We commit to the personal and professional development of employees. After all, when our people are at their best, so is our organization.

We foster an inclusive workplace that champions all team members through:

  • community engagement
  • employee resource groups
  • giving to organizations that support diversity and equity

And our Better Conversations series allows team members to hear and learn from one another and connect, even over difficult topics. Paycom’s culture of curiosity and openness helps ensure all people are seen, heard and empowered.

At Paycom, you go further

Paycom offers a range of opportunities for our employees to grow personally and professionally. There’s no shortage of development opportunities with our wide-ranging training programs for a variety of roles and departments.

Paycom employees flourish because of our built-in leadership tracks for growth. Everyone has the potential to learn more and thrive. We recognize and cultivate that in our people by:

  • investing in development
  • encouraging upward mobility
  • maintaining empathy and transparency

And we know achievement doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Great workplaces support the whole person, giving them resources and support both in and out of work. Paycom’s unique perks and benefits address the holistic needs of our employees. They include:

  • $1-per-pay-period individual health insurance
